I will use my firefly as a secondary spawn after loosing the Avenger  It is this naming system that actually gave the M4 Medium tank their namesake "Sherman".

Any advice about gameplay or worth would be appreciated, especially from those that played the Firefly.

What I can tell you though is, don't expect one of your shots to kill the enemy, and always expect the enemies first shot to kill you. Not sure what you can do with planes, I'm a tanker through-and-through. The Sherman II is basically a M4A1 Sherman, to which users of it in the American ground forces tree will be very familiar with. Opponents were mainly T-34 (which I could easily take out frontally, without even spending any thought on where exactly I aimed), or then some IS-2's which I both got from the side.

It was based on the US M4 Sherman, but fitted with the powerful 3-inch (76.2 mm) calibre British 17-pounder anti-tank gun as its main weapon. learn to use the gun and it can defeat any opponent you meet! Try not to be caught up in one position as being stuck in one place will cause the enemy to eventually swarm the Sherman and destroy it.

The only tanks in their inventory at that time was the During the M3's development, the designs of the 75 mm armed vehicle were being drawn up and submitted by the Ordnance Department. All rights reserved. Yes,the  avenger is insane, especially if you are able to flank,i once got 8 kills with it on a match in kursk (ended with 12 thanks to the firefly) and that was at 5.7.and i was even more lucky to get a free talisman on it

Specifications on the tank design were strict in order to maximize logistical support.

Well, I can confirm that in RB the Brits do seem to perform better, Took the Firefly out again yesterday, with again overall good results! Can't wait to get past the crappy Firefly, worst performing tank in the game, and a major disappointment, just like it was in that other tank game.

The 17pdr is a very good sniping cannon at this BR
Swap out the Crusader AA Mk. Opponents were mainly T-34 (which I could easily take out frontally, without even spending any thought on where exactly I aimed), or then some IS-2's which I both got from the side. Stay hidden if possible, always keep in cover and know where to aim on the target.

Swap out the Churchill VII for the premium Firefly, Achilles', or premium Achilles'.

I'll definitely take the Firefly out more now - just to see if that was a fluke or if it really "grew" so much since it was introduced when the Brit Tank Tree came out...   = ) so I don't think it's entirely down to me being rubbish.

Don't be afraid to use it from further distances. I will use my firefly as a secondary spawn after loosing the Avenger  so I don't think it's entirely down to me being rubbish. Manoeuvre into enemy territory scanning for targets. The avenger will get to prime fire positions before the Firefly, so it's a good idea to spawn it first and deal the maximum damage you can, increasing the chances of your team to win. The British 4.7 lineup is very modular.

I am still getting caned when hit first, but if I can get a hit on the enemy they do, finally, explode, so I seem to be on a level playing field to some degree.. With the avanger you gotta play like an m18, a fast flanker ambusher from the sides. Yesterday I took my old Premium Firefly out for the first time in ages, as I never liked the vehicle (or lack of success I had with it, actually). The game is based around combined arms battles on air, land, and sea with vehicles from the Spanish Civil War to today. Also don’t play arcade.

With the british line you need to be patient and accurate. Mainly because the Firefly is actually a Cruiser tank not a medium, and Cruisers rely on surprise to work.

I was going to get the Avenger anyway and build a 4.7 lineup, so I guess the Firefly will just be a backup. You should have seen it before the AP damage buff. This allows the Sherman to use the most of the turret and gun mantlet armour as well as minimizing the amount of the body able to be hit by incoming enemy fire while dishing out quite a considerable amount of fire towards the enemy with a fast-firing 75 mm gun.

I can really say that now the Firefly is a tank I enjoy very much, and one of the first options to do medium-tank related Warbonds taskasking for Tier 3+, for example. This. the Firefly although inferior in every way that matters to the Avenger is still a decent tank! I spaded this thing before I made the jump to realistic and before the solid shot buff and it was a nightmare.

The gun is brilliant since AP got buffed. Just need to hull down and ambush the rusher t34-s and panzers. Play it like a sniper/backline/support tank. I don't claim to be anything other than an average player, but this really is NO fun at all, and I can do ok in other nations tanks, well except French and Japanese!
As the American differentiate the M4 models with letter and numbers such as Past these designation, there would be a letter to signify differences in model design. Thanks. Yesterday I took my old Premium Firefly out for the first time in ages, as I never liked the vehicle (or lack of success I had with it, actually).

At the first few match will be a suffer but after that... You'll never play arcade again. If enemy fire at the hull-down position intensifies or wound the crew members, simply reversing can put the Sherman under adequate cover and reposition for another attempt to attack the enemy.

Restrictions were made on the tank's height, width, and weight in order to make it able to be transported over bridges, roads, railroads, and on naval ships. As such, an unaware enemy will probably be exposing their weak points such as the side armour, allowing for a well-placed 75 mm shot to damage the interior.
