Japan Airlines has just announced a new business class product for their fleet of 11 Boeing 777-200ERs, which they use primarily for mid-range flights (including within Asia and to Hawaii).This new product will be different than what JAL offers on their Boeing 777-300ERs, 787s, and 767s, which they otherwise use for their longhaul flights (more on that in a bit).
Still, it’s pretty comfortable for a 4-5 hour flight. I especially liked arriving at Haneda airport due to its close proximity to Central Tokyo.

Business class seating on the 777-300 is in a 2-2-2 configuration, and nowhere near as private as the newer A350 and 777-300ERs that Singapore Airlines also operate.

3. BUSINESS CLASS CABIN. The 777-300 is a stretch version of the 777-200. The seats felt very old and from another generation. There are 42 Sky Suite III business class seats on this aircraft laid out in 1-2-1 reverse herringbone configuration. I flew on this plane from Tokyo Haneda to Okinawa on 29 July. This flight is operated by a retrofitted Boeing 777-200ER with 3 classes of service ranging from business class, premium economy, and economy class. Recliner Premium Economy (Rows 17-21) This flight also had the airlines' newest domestic flight seats. The seats recline into a fully flat bed and all seats offer direct aisle access. The 777 was jointly developed by Boeing and a group of airlines and is the most technologically advanced twinjet aircraft in the world. Welcome to another trip report! We were also pleasantly surprised that the cabin temperature was kept cool during the flight.The crew on this flight delivered polished and proactive service, as expected. Still okay to fly to Osaka though Ethiopian Airlines’ Boeing 777 features one large Business Class cabin located in the plane’s front section.
