Hi, Ferry journey from Kuala Kedah to Langkawi will take around 1hours 30 minutes while from Kuala Perlis is just around 1 hours.Both way is recommended but I would suggest you to take a ferry from Kuala Perlis as the journey is more preferrable (short time).Bear in mind that the sea condition is quite rough in April.If me, I rather take a plane. Esp in KL or on the highway - if the traffic policemen were to stop you repeatedly for no apparent reason to ask for a "small fine" and he does not issue a proper ticket or receipt, you don't have to pay him anything.
