Lentil were not cooked all the way.I wanted to check this location out since I went to their other restaurant in Manville and enjoyed it. I highly recommend reservations as the restaurant is fairly small and does fill up fast. They have main floor and second floor seating. I've never been big on Mediterranean cuisine. Every order earns points. We loved them! I found that I don't usually like hummus and a lot of other staples, but Sahara infuses SO MUCH flavor into everything. My favorite dish has been the feta chicken. But also a fan of their kebabs.

They do however offer curbside dining which seemed to be available throughout our Friday evening meal. About Sahara Restaurant Healthy and reasonably priced Sahara Cafe is a great way to dine outside on a nice evening in these Covid times in New Brunswick.Atmosphere is nice and peaceful! We ordered falafel as well and it was great. The brick walls, murals, curtains, chandeliers, and all the decor make it a beautiful, comforting atmosphere.

Went to this place last night and really had a good time. Sahara brought us the flavors of Paterson without the drive. Sahara Restaurant. And the owner instead of rejecting, he served me food. Chunks of chicken breast marinated in Sahara homemade sauce and char grilled on skewers. It was my first time time going there, and I don't know how I missed this gem during my time at Rutgers. We ordered the Gorgonzola cheese flatbread with mushrooms and mozzarella cheese to start It was a crispy crust fresh out of their brick oven and very tasty.
I actually loved their hummus and their other dips like cauliflower dip and baba Ghanoush were also on point. We found some street parking and were quickly seated at a small table for 2. Can you say warm, freshly made bread? I haven't visited this location in a while.
