Setelah Voice dan Tunnel, Duel bisa dibilang jadi drama OCN yang diharapkan bisa mendulang kesuksesan yang sama dengan drama pendahulunya.Sehingga sudah jelas, ada ekspektasi yang sangat tinggi dari orang-orang (setidaknya dari saya) terhadap drama ini. Channel Korea has introduced you K-drama Review, ‘Duel’ a Sci-Fi Thriller Story About Human Clones. Overall 8/10.The song is called 악몽 or nightmare. Jung Jae Young showcased his seasoned acting to a point where I want to beg the writer to stop hurting him.I won’t say that the female cast are lousy in the story. The acting, the script the execution was top notch.It’s a fantastic drama for binging!
Slowly, we begin to understand what made him into the man he is, and I couldn’t help but feel sorrow for him.And I fully believed that Sung Joon and Sung Hoon were two separate people. Left with no choice when his daughter, Soo Yeon, is hospitalized, he agrees with Prosecutor Choi Jo Hye (After Soo Yeon’s emergency treatment they head home but the driver of the ambulance manages to subdue Detective Jang and takes off with the patient. That same stem cell research is given to the detective’s daughter who was kidnapped by one of the clones made from the dead Lee Yung Sup.Sung Joon regains his memory when they locate his friend and remembers his identity as a clone, like Sung Hoon, of the dead doctor Lee Yung Sup.It turns out that the real vaccine was not injected by the dead doctor to his body, but was in fact given to his dying daughter who was later adopted by a nurse he trusted. First, it’s very intense as there are plenty of close encounters with cops as well as bad guys.I also enjoy getting to see the two guys slowly bond in the midst of their difficult circumstances. I’m still in awe of what he did in that drama. He appears to be constantly on edge, and I easily felt his frantic energy as he worked to find her. And watching the relationship slowly develop between Sung Joon and Deuk Cheon was very nice throughout the series.There is also a well-developed mystery surrounding the clones, their purpose, and their connection to Deuk Cheon. While looking for information about her mother, she finds herself right in the middle of the mystery Deuk Cheon and Sung Joon are involved in.And then there is Prosecutor Choi Jo Hye (Kim Jung Eun) who is running the mission to locate Soo Yeon, but her fierce personality tends to put her at odds with Deuk Cheon.I ended up thoroughly enjoying Duel. I really really can’t wait for his next project. Sung Hoon confronts his doctor-mom about what Chairman San Young revealed.In his rage he triggers the gun at Sung Joon but the doctor takes the bullet for him. They get through the main door but outnumbered by the security officers of the building, Detective Jang sacrifices his body for Mi Rae and Sung Joon so they can drive away from the place.Mi Rae donates her bone marrow as soon as she reaches the hospital, but the villain intercepts it by threatening Soo Yeon’s doctor.Mi Rae’s bone marrow tug-of-war ensues as Sung Joon retrieves the box from the chairman’s minion. But when he meets a man who looks just like the kidnapper, he finds there’s a bigger mystery going on then he would Duel was such a fantastic ride! Sung Hoon has that creepy smile, he’s confident, and he’s a force to be reckoned with. That is all I can say. Segala usaha dia kerahkan untuk mencari keberadaan anaknya dan menangkan pelaku penculikan itu.Terus mencari jejak si penculik, akhirnya Detektif Jang berhasil menemukan seorang pria muda yang menculik anaknya. The cast is amazing especially Yang Se Jong. He doesn’t want to believe he could have done bad things, and he really wants to help Deuk Cheon find Soo Yeon.I also think poor Sung Joon gets beat up more than any drama character I’ve ever seen!
I personally think that the story and everything else was so good that these things didn’t bother me much.
