Steuart Smith (born June 24, 1952) is an American guitarist and multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, writer and producer hailing from Arlington, Virginia. He co-wrote several songs and co-produced the Eagles on the Long Road Out of Eden album. For 26 songs spread across 2½ hours, the Eagles positively soared.Their opening was dramatic in its simplicity. Schmit later fast-forwarded to “Love Will Keep Us Alive,” from the Eagles’ 1994 reunion album “Hell Freezes Over.”After “New Kid in Town,” Henley noted, “One of the wonderful things about this city is you folks will applaud a guitar solo.” Indicative of the value the Eagles place on said solos, the LED screens often showed extreme close-ups of the musicians’ fingers working strings.Hits abounded, but lesser-known songs also slipped in.
