July 29 at 4:02 PM I may get some heat for this but....I'll be honest, before I became ... a parent, it was somewhat hard for me to see the downside in a shared custody arrangement (of course, this is assuming the child would be physically and emotionally safe with both parents). You are often being scrutinized by parents and have to back yourself and confidently address their issues. I think confidence means that you are happy in your own skin.
