Lech hosted III Railway Men Olympic Games, and therefore hoped for a donation to support the construction of a new stadium.
The search was a difficult task, but Drab's deputy Pieńczak succeded. The youngster appeared in all 22 matches of the next season. However, a year later the club finally moved up the ladder. Another interesting anecdote: the match against Szombierki Bytom (August 11th, 1950) began at 10 o'clock which is the earliest kick-off time in the history of the club from Dębiec. When Lech got promoted to Ekstraklasa in 1972 the stadium once again became too small for the needs of an ambitious club. The first selections and executions took place at the former sport construction. The fight for the qualification to Ekstraklasa was exhilarating. Question is: The Nickname Of Lech Poznan and answer is: Kolejorz. It is worth emphasizing that Warta sent its best starting lineup against Lech. The change in the league system did not influence the players positively and the form gradually degraded. KKS Wiara Lecha or Drużyna Wiary Lecha abbreviated to DWL, is a sports club from Poznań founded by Lech Poznań supporters in 2011 and ran by the former official Lech Poznań supporter group Wiara Lecha.Only active supporters can play in the team and they have to have made a contribution to the supporter scene in order to be admitted to the squad.
The third place wasn't exactly a dream result and therefore the club hired a new coach. The game ended with a draw, 1:1. Today the street is named Grzybowa. Back then the famous Olympique Marseille visited Poznań and lost 2:3. The same player later joined Warta Poznań, which fought in the highest-ranked league in the country. Fellow visitors! After a profound analysis, the city government commissioned a construction of a city stadium near Łęgi Dębińskie. Lech's debut on the international arena took place on September 13th, 1978 in a match against MSV Duisburg. won with Polonia Warsaw (5:0), Bronia Radom (3:2), Unia Sosnowiec (7:2) and Gryf Toruń (3:0)).
KPW Sport Club Poznań Railway Station was renamed to KPW Sport Club Poznań and Józef Chrobak, a member of KPW, became its chairman. On normal match day he has around 20,000 fans on stadium. In autumn 1949 a clock controlled by an electrical board was installed on the grounds. The football pitch was built on a land leased by Wicherkiewicz family. The city government gave an approval and the construction began in 1968. In the mean time, Lech fell to the III league, also referred to as the League of the Voivodeships. This is a very popular game which has taken the appstore by storm. Lech Poznań is the most popular club in Poland.
A year later after the name was approved by the board, another change came and the club was renamed again. The club is said to have been registered on March 19th, 1922. Lech beat the team from Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, but was stopped by the Swedish AIK Solna. In January 1925 Dębiec district became an official part of Poznań city and the club changed its name to Sport Association Poznań League. In August 1920, a group of young activists from the Catholic Youth Association decided to split off and form their own football team.
