The default value can be a static value, a function or even an async function.Recoil manages to hit the nail right on the head when it is described as React-ish. Like so:This will give you the ability to access recoil elements anywhere in your application. 33:30. So why do …

It is a state management library currently being used internally at Facebook. It’s sort of reminiscent of the games of the ‘90s; we use a lot of the same kind of thing. People.com

Just saw this tweet.A constructive and inclusive social network.

Anaheim Police homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man discovered in a cul-de-sac early Saturday morning, according to a press release. At 2:55 a.m., officers responded to a call after a passerby discovered a deceased man lying on the ground. The man was identified as 48-year-old David Patrick McCabe of Dana Point, Calif., who suffered injuries consistent with blunt force trauma.Police were not commenting on a possible motive or whether there was a suspect at this time.McCabe played drums for a local punk rock back known as The Knightenders, according to The band’s guitarist Johnny Spade told the newspaper that McCabe was the “heart of the band.”The group’s lead singer Minnie Green credited McCabe for getting her to perform in front of audiences, the article stated.“If it weren’t for him, I would never have fronted a band, or even tried karaoke,” Green told the newspaper. This takes a little getting use to vs the normal:That you see in regular react hooks but to me it's a welcome change that allows you to be very specific with what you're calling and how.

While I haven't tried it out, it definitely looks interesting. If this wasn't a library from a Facebook guy, we probably would be ignoring it.

No offense to Mark Erikson here in this thread - I can't stand Redux. Said that recoil Is interesting and i will follow its evolution closely as It brings really interesting concepts for high-performance heavy-duty UIRecoil is very simple to use and feels like it is included in the React core.

Open source and radically transparent. We're a place where coders share, stay up-to-date and grow their careers. Crime I used my own app for a month and here is what I learned

Nice article Alex.

You can watch here as Dave McCabe, breaks down the new library and it's features. Plus, it's Typescript supported!! Cheers.I dunno. There isn’t a need to learn new design patterns or set up extensive boiler plates to manage your states.

Recoil was introduced by Dave McCabe, a Facebook software engineer during an online React Europe 2020 event on YouTube. Text us for exclusive photos and videos, royal news, and way more.

So it is no surprise that it seems like new state management libraries pop up seemingly every week.

The man was identified as 48-year-old David Patrick McCabe of Dana Point, Calif., who suffered injuries consistent with blunt force trauma. I am not sure it is offering a lot new to the landscape other than splitting focus again.

He does an excellent job of explaining the types of the problems that the library is trying solve and in the video he demos a neat looking canvas application.

It's looked — and felt — like a whole different world as we've been social distancing and attempting to keep each other safe Over the years, as React applications have gotten larger in scale and scope, managing state globally has become an increasing burden on developers.

Congrats to Dave McCabe and other team members for launching Recoil.js! For me, that's the big issue.
