Different stances, a variety of weapons, and characters with a broad but balanced spectrum of speed, strength, and special abilities make both storyline gameplay (which is required to unlock all of the characters for two-player mode) and two-player mode fun, fast, and easy to learn. in bushido blade 2 instead of blocking you swing your sword, its easier than it sounds, if you get good enough you can easily block thrown weapons and even GUNSHOTS where as in bushido blade 1 the fights devolve into the gross block animation over and over and then your legs get hurt and both of you are helplessly laying on the ground swinging your swords and its no fun, this game is ultra fun taking the time to learn the controls is really rewarding and if you can get someone else to fight you that also knows how to play the game you can have some really excellent crazy moments that really get your blood pumping Some of my friends preferred Bushido Blade 1 since there was a "parry" button, but I liked this one since the characters were cooler.
