Just got off a flight PHX to DEN. And it is $10 per person. The seat is wider than the previous seat. Charges for these seats will depend on routing and may be purchased at the of booking or check-in.United is currently in the process of outfitting their fleet of A320s with power ports in First and Economy Plus. 21B was great. A moderately comfortable experience due to larger seat size but otherwise not a premier service.
Would avoid flights with this plane. SeatGuru User on On a long flight this seat may become uncomfortable and cause you to squirm a bit or want to get up and move around. I had economy plus 35" seat pitch so the legroom was great but the seat was hard as bricks. The flight departed 2 minutes early but arrived 6 minutes late. Stared at a blank wall the entire time. These new seats are very uncomfortable. These are the bark bench hard Recaro garbage seats. Regular economy also didn't look very promising, seeing some of the passengers' knees against the seats. SeatGuru User on When you open your arm rest to get the table, it has to flip onto the center console and will knock your drink over so that you have to pick your drink up when retrieving the seat table The seats are overall comfortable, and the food usually good, but not all aircraft have power. Very pleased with the new seats and this particular one of 1F 2016/11/19 for Seat 31D Seat has very limited recline. That was greatly appreciated! If you can avoid United A319 AND A320 aircraft. 2016/02/25 for Seat 27E

Sadly, I doubt there is any way to know which ones you will get. 2015/04/04 for Seat 27B SeatGuru User on The food was OK, but nothing to consider first class...far out shown by, for example, tourist class on Air France...where you get a glass of champagne even in tourist class before take off. The seat tray is mounted with a bar, which for most people is above the height of their knees. 2015/05/27 for Seat 28F Terrible. 2017/01/06 for Seat 20A Not sure it would be good for a redeye, but if you're just going a few hours, it's good. With insight comes new opportunities and solutions.
