This was my first mistake, it's now 7 day later and I've just finished the second book.

You have 7 books already out in this series and apparently they are all pretty good!
Mahan finally gets out of the mines but finds himself in a backwater town of Beatwick where there are no quests.
Overall
The first part was about the daily grind of a MMO, made interesting through the character's interaction with the setting and him trying to come to grips with the situation.
I realize this is a LITRPG genre series and therefore probably should be a little lighthearted; and its not that the narrator, Johnathan Yen, did a bad job, in fact he was very credible giving each character their own voice.

This is the second book on "The Way of the Shaman"series and it advances the story far faster then the introductory one did. Author "Vasily Mahanenko" wrote more then great work.
This is in my humble opinion by far the better read.
