It’s not as if I wasn’t kind of nerdy or kind of artsy or kind of freaky. I loved the art: it was really cute and stylized and awesome. Anya begins to bond with Emily and they become friends. “Oh, Anya! This is also the first graphic novel I have ever read, and I read it like a comic book in under an hour. And the popular girls aren't always mean. So really, the joy is in the details of how the story all works out rather than in the genius of any of the three parts on their own. I mean, things could definitely be worse: she might've still had an accent, be as plump as her mother, or (God Forbid!)
