She and a playmate would find dead birds and bury them, but then, "after dark I'd go back and give them a proper burial.'' Log in. Go to Explore. Sorry folks...it's my opinion. not well). I also didn't believe his outcome but I suppose it was always going to happen. I expected him to be a little more horrified. It premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 1996. Gore, blood, guts and other stuff come from fear. 3 out of 5 found this helpful. Some turn to religion for comforting beliefs about death, others embrace a "death culture", as Goths do.

The contrast between Sandra and the other people manipulating bodies (the teachers, the embalmer) is rather eloquent. Watch Kissed (1996) Similar Trailers by MovieTrailer.IO on dailymotion.

Some Canadian critics said good things about this unwatchable flick, which only goes to show you how politically motivated and pretentious some Canadian critics can be; oh, it also says what lousy reviewers they are. Everyone is aware that they are going to die but no one knows precisely what death is. Sandra is an incurable necrophiliac who gets a job at a funeral home and studies embalming in order to commune with a corpse's true essence, plus gains the perk of having plenty of dead bodies to choose from. I do think this part of the script hurts the film and kept this from being more respectable. It certainly is a whole universe better than David Cronenberg's "Crash" which didn't have the gentle way of handling its disturbing subject matter.

I really can't think of any other film where the corpse is a male and a living breathing woman is female. First of all, I don't believe this movie is about necrophilia beneath the surface. We won’t be able to verify your ticket today, but it’s great to know for the future.Theater box office or somewhere else We all come to terms with our mortality in our own way. Was this review helpful? I believe that the movie wanted the viewer to feel the passion in her mind not the actual phyical interaction with the bodies. This film gave me a very mello, soft feeling, I could feel the main character's growing love and attraction as she discovered her innermost desires. It's easy getting horrified at the idea of people being sexually attracted for corpses, but the relationship of mankind with death (That primigenial and fascinating fear) can go that far and, if you think of it, it goes way far beyond . The directors/producer/ artwork/writer/and many other self centered tasks in HER film ( did I forget gaffer/ sound/ lightman/ catering/executive prod./ costumes/ make up/etc/etc/etc/ ad nauseum as well? ) I would suggest movie reviewers keep this in mind. This compelling and profound stir of taboo makes quick work of my knees and I've grown quite fond of it. Good show! but this movie crossed the line as it glorifies necrophilia!!! This deviant behavior was portrayed as being right and normal in the psyche of the necrophiliac and that is exactly how this type of necrophilia is described by those who have this particular type of compulsion/attraction. Was this review helpful? If whack job Sandra isn't enough on our plate, the neophytes behind this film serve up an even more whacked out head case in a med student love interest who has similar aberrant psychic proclivities. Fellow student Matt (Peter Outerbridge) falls for her and they get into a relationship. It is a futile claim to make that Kissed is less about necrophilia than it is about the nature of obsession and addiction. Was this review helpful?

Well that's the double standard thing again. | Rating: C+ I see it.''

With Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Skeet Ulrich. Stick with 'em. Maybe the greatest achievement of the film is that it was able to deal with an subject such as necrophilia without falling into tastelessness. 3 out of 5 found this helpful.

... and Molly Parker is having sex with all of them! The portrayal of the main character's abnormal obsession with dead corpses was presented in a very enlightened and informed manner which was surprising. I had problems with the boyfriend and I found it hard to believe the way he responded to her sleeping with dead people from the start. To be with her is complicated. And she meets some random guy & he's into it too? Please enter your email address and we will email you a new password. That is love. 34 out of 39 found this helpful. I admire the audacity behind the willingness to make this movie, although I have a hard time offering an outright recommendation. | Was this review helpful? January 1, 2000
