Premonition often gives you the most notice but having that long cool down is a big disadvantage so most people really prefer spinechill if you're only going to use one.Premonition is a proactive perk that you use when you want to take advantage of knowing the killer's position. Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts Cooldown is … 2 months ago. Once its not solid, you should consider finding a place to start walking. But Spine Chill is permanently active while Premonition isn't which makes SC a little bit better imo.In a lot of situations you can infer where the killer is coming from (other generators left, if you can't see him in the open parts of the map) and make the appropriate moves without it being on CDPremo gives directionality as it only dings when you look at them, so you know where to run off too. Or am I misremembering and it stays up while he's looking? Also, if you see it even blip that means the killer is in your general area. How is it that different from the terror radius? I guess that's how you keep the % bonus the other guy reminded me aboutSpine chill bc getting hit through pallets is infuriatingI haven't been playing for that long either, but from my own experience SC is more reliable because it doesn't have a cooldown and you can notice if it was the killer just turning or if it's actually looking in your direction. With premonition the notification goes up, but you have no way of knowing if it's the killer just like, turning around nearby in your area or actually aiming in your direction. Spinechill gives a minor buff but has no cooldown. To me SC is nice getting the warning but you don't know where they are coming from. That's the time to do a 360 sweep using premonition to find the direction they might be coming from. I'm sure there are some high level killers out there that consistently strafe toward generators to avoid activating Spine Chill, but I can't say I've ever encountered it myself. Plus you can't accidentally waste it and have it be on cooldown for when you actually want to check.I personally like spine better just because it isnt a cd based perkI beat spinechill constantly vs rank1 survivors by just looking away from the gen before I approach it, I made it a really consistent habit and I'm always finding survivors still on the gen when I arrive fully cloaked and looking away, however I can never catch any player with premonition off guard.. it's simply not possible unless they slip up.Seems like people prefer spine chill over premonition. It seems like a lot of inconvenience for such a minor thing.Personally I prefer running both but that's just because I haven't got some of the other perks I want yet. Can also say the speed boost can be clutch in endgame, you get the exit gates open sooner when the killer goes to check on you/r/deadbydaylight is a subreddit dedicated to Dead by Daylight, an asymmetrical multiplayer action-horror game developed and published by Behaviour Interactive.Press J to jump to the feed. I will always go with premonition, as long as I am aware of where the killer is coming from I feel a lot safer and can plan ahead my escape route. There are obviously situations where Premonition is better (such as checking for the presence of a hook-camping killer) but I like Spine Chill more now.
It mostly comes down to personal preference. spine chill doesn't tell you the direction the killer is coming from whereas premonition tells you the exact direction the killer is coming from allowing you to hide easier. spine chill. Biggest con is the cooldown.Saying that all you have to do is not look at generators and actually doing it are two different things though. So I go generally with premonition.I have found that using both is really effective. It's also more useful in a chase because spine chill will tell you when the killer has lost you and you've successfully juked. SC howerer would light up for a fraction of a second if it's only turning, but light up completely if it's not. Also, the lack of cooldown makes it super reliable with killers like the Shape or The WraithYea lack of a cool down is something I didn't notice and seems like a big dealSpine Chill increases your vault speed along other things by 6%, doesn't have a cooldown and warns you about stealthy killers. I've seen the notification flash up but with no cool down does that mean when he looks away and back it would flash up again? At 24m or 36m, they are very very close. If I had to choose one I used to be solidly in the camp of Spine Chill but after having and running Prem 3 for a while it's really made me reconsider.
With P as long as you keep scanning you can get a direction, then just use the terror radius to know when they are heading towards you. I always liked Premonition more than Spinechill, the only downside is the cooldown. Spine chill is useful during a chase, you can tell if the killer is following you which in result tells you whether you juked him or not without looking behind. Spine Chill increases your vault speed along other things by 6%, doesn't have a cooldown and warns you about stealthy killers. I used to run both but now I found that empathy perk is actually of more use to myself. Also, its pretty helpful when you're running/juking to figure out if you're breaking line of sight effectively.
